It is important therefore that we make it clear at the outset exactly what this covers. The SMB product set will encompass all products suitable for end user environments of 250 users and below. Currently, this can also be broken down to a further grouping; The sub 100 user or 'Cisco Small Business' products and the over 100 users but fewer than 250 users or 'Cisco Classic' products. Currently, these groupings are distinct based on both price and complexity. The Cisco Small Business products are designed to compete in the lower end of the market, delivering high performance but at a price point which Small Businesses can afford and with the simplicity of out of the box solutions requiring limited Technical capability. The Classic products are generally more feature rich and able to scale up to larger Enterprise environments.
Both of these segments cover the whole Technology spectrum and it is one of Cisco's key Unique selling points that they have the broadest capability of any networking equipment manufacturer in that they provide the only real end to end SMB network solution, from routing and switching, through to voice and video capability, through to Storage. Cisco products are also unique in that they have the best Security features as standard in most cases.
